Hong Chui and Hong Yip Partner to Achieve “Service for Tomorrow” through Green Initiatives

As one of the largest property and facility management companies in Hong Kong, Hong Yip integrates ESG elements into its daily operations and is actively committed in various environmental and charitable activities under its sustainable development vision "SERVICE For Tomorrow". Recently, Hong Yip's associated company, Hong Chui Landscape Company Limited (Hong Chui), joined hands with the District Elderly Community Centre & Neighbourhood Elderly Centres of Hong Kong Christian Service to organize a series of volunteer activities called "Elderly Gardening Program”. The program aims to teach the elderly with cognitive impairment and their family some gardening skills and knowledge, while increasing their community participation and promoting neighbourhood networking.

Hong Chui has been providing landscape design services, garden management, and environmental planning and evaluation to different properties, as well as assisting with greening projects, planting and maintenance. The company strives to introduce a variety of garden settings and drenching system, cultivate different types of plants, and promote biodiversity. The "Elderly Gardening Program" has made full use of the company's resources and employees’ expertise to contribute to the community by sharing their professional knowledge and greening experience. The program was led by Hong Chui's gardening supervisor, who taught the elderly different gardening skills such as planting vegetables and fruits, caring for ornamental plants, transplanting and pest control techniques. After the activities, each participant received a potted plant and a set of gardening tools to continue applying their newly learned skills at home, beautifying their living environment and enhancing their sense of community involvement.

In addition, Hong Chui's volunteer staff helped greening the flower garden of the District Elderly Community Centre & Neighbourhood Elderly Centres of Hong Kong Christian Service by handling tasks including soil treatment, plant transplantation and pruning, creating a better living environment for the community. This year, Hong Chui was awarded the "Caring Company Logo" by the Hong Kong Council of Social Service for the first time, recognizing the company's contributions to the community through various social services. Hong Yip and Hong Chui will continue to promote sustainable development through innovative products and services, bringing more positive impact to society and creating a better community.
