The Best Property Management Company in Occupational Safety and Health 2004

Construction Safety Forum and Award Presentation was held at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre on 9 Sept 2004. This promotional event was co-organized by the Occupational Safety and Health Council, the Labour Department, various Government departments, professional organizations and relevant bodies in the industry. It aimed to increase safety awareness among employers and employees in the construction and property management sectors and enhance the industry's safety standards.

Over 400 workers from construction companies and estate management companies participated in the morning exercise at 8 am in HKCEC. Seminar on Behavioural Based Safety was organized in the morning and the forum and award presentation was held in the afternoon with Mr Matthew Cheung, Permanent Secretary for Economic Development and Labour Officiating. In addition to the ongoing Safe Working Cycle Competition, new awards were introduced this year, including the Best Property Management Companies in OSH, the Best Developers and the Best Employees, to heighten the safety awareness of workers at renovation, maintenance and property management sectors. The competitions attracted over 80 entries.

Apart from winning the Silver Award in the Best Property Management Companies in OSH category, Hong Yip also won three of the five awards of the Best Employees category, namely Mr. Mak Hing Cheong, Mr. Ho Yiu Tong and Ms Yue Sau Fong, for their outstanding performance in occupational safety and health.
