Hong Yip’s CSR Campaign “Building Up Sustainable Mutual Support Network for New-Arrival Women and Single Mothers” Earned the Honour of “Outstanding Social Capital Partnership Awardees” by Labour and Welfare Bureau

Hong Yip Service Company Limited (“Hong Yip”) has been promoting the development of social capital for years. The Company participated in the project “Building Up Sustainable Mutual Support Network for New-Arrival Women and Single Mothers” run by the Hong Kong Federation of Women's Centres last year. The program aims at helping new arrival women and single mothers adapt to the community, thereby building a neighbourhood support network. This program earned the Company the honour of “Outstanding Social Capital Partnership Awardees (Corporate / Organisation)” in “Social Capital Builder Awards 2020” jointly organised by the Labour and Welfare Bureau and Community Investment and Inclusion Fund. Hong Yip is also the only company to win in this award program twice consecutively, receiving high recognition from the society.

“Building Up Sustainable Mutual Support Network for New-Arrival Women and Single Mothers” assists women in need to adapt the community and builds a neighbor support network for them. In this project, apart from being an active member of the advisory committee, by making use of the industry expertise, Hong Yip assigned our engineering staff to teach women with knowledge and skills of repair and maintenance. This enhanced the participants’ skills for self-reliance; encouraged them to pass on the legacy of helping other women and others in need, thus promoting social inclusion. In addition, Hong Yip also capitalised on its corporate strengths to create women-friendly job opportunities, encourage staff to take part in volunteer work and make donations. Looking forward, we will continue to commit in various community services and strive to build a better and harmonious society.
