Hong Yip won the Outstanding Partnership Award (Corporate)

Hong Yip was honored to receive the Outstanding Partnership Award (Corporate) by Community Investment and Inclusion Fund (CIIF) supported by Labour and Welfare Bureau, to recognize our active participation in CIIF-funded projects to help new arrivals and their families to integrate into society. In recent years, Hong Yip has played an active role in three CIIF-funded projects run by the Hong Kong Federation of Women’s Centres. Hong Yip has also actively engaged in sharing its expertise with community organisations. Our volunteers including engineers and frontline staff organized maintenance tutorials to women, in order to enhance their skills and improve their employability.

Community Investment and Inclusion Fund (CIIF) was set up by the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region in 2002 to implement diversified social capital development projects in the community, promote reciprocity between the public and different sectors, and build together cross-sectoral collaborative platforms and social support networks. The Fund seeks to build social capital – to garner mutual trust, spirit of cooperation and social cohesion, and enhance mutual support among individuals, families and organisations so that our community can grow from strength to strength.

Hong Yip strives to foster community empowerment and to promote social capital development as a result of achieving six core social capital dimensions including social networks; trust and solidarity; mutual-help and reciprocity; social cohesion and inclusion; social participation; and information and communication.
