Wonderland Villas won Silver Award in the BOCHK Corporate Environmental Leadership Awards 2018

Federation of Hong Kong Industries (FHKI) and Bank of China (Hong Kong) launched the BOCHK Corporate Environmental Leadership Awards since 2005 to encourage corporations to step up efforts in undertaking corporate social responsibility and reducing the environmental impact in carbon emission.

 

The management team of Wonderland Villas (WV) was honored to receive the Silver Award in the 2018 BOCHK Corporate Environmental Leadership Awards. The team fully complies with the corporate environmental policy. They adopt five-pronged initiatives including waste reduction in source, food wise, clean recycling, hygienic landfilling and waste-to-energy plans.

 

The management team launched the food waste recycling programme since 2012. Until now, they have already dealt with more than 400 thousand kilograms of food waste from those households who participated in this programme successfully reducing 56% of food waste. They also made use of the compost as fertilizer to nourish the flower blooms in the estate. Through further composting, the wizened plants can be used as fertilizers for the next activities.

 

The award demonstrates the team’s dedicated efforts in promoting green awareness to the residents and implementing environmental protection measures in a daily property management operation.
